I have struggled my entire life with how I look. There is so much pressure put on women about how our bodies should or should not look. It wasn't until I had my own daughter that I finally realized that in order for her to truly love her body, I needed to love mine. It has been a complicated journey for me (and I am still a work in progress), but one of the biggest gifts I have given myself is the gift of a boudoir session. It was incredibly empowering. It allowed me to embrace the beauty, sensuality, and strength that had always been there, I had just never allowed myself to accept it.
I am excited to offer boudoir sessions because I want to share the gift of self love with other women. As a mom, I have seen my body go through a significant change. Even though my body looks a lot different than it did before I had my daughter, I love my body so much more now, and I want you to feel the same way about your body. The gorgeous ladies on this page are real badass moms that have allowed me to share part of the stunning journey with you.
My hope is that you will embrace and love your body. It's a chance celebrate your unique beauty and sensuality in a safe and supportive environment. I will coach you every step of the way. Do I need to know how to pose for a boudoir session?
Not at all! That is my job. I’ll guide you through posing, movement, hand placement, and even where to look so you never have to wonder what you’re supposed to be doing. Most people feel a little nervous at the beginning, and that is completely normal. We’ll take our time and ease into it.
Do you offer professional hair and makeup?
Yes! I can connect you with professional hair and makeup artists who can help you feel completely pampered and camera-ready before your session. Depending on availability, hair and makeup can take place at my studio or in your home.
What if I feel awkward or nervous in front of the camera?
You would be in very good company! Most of my clients do not walk into a boudoir session feeling like professional models. It usually takes a little time to get comfortable, which is exactly why I don’t rush the experience. I’ll guide you every step of the way, and we’ll create something that feels natural, confident, and true to you.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
Absolutely not. Boudoir is about celebrating you, and that can look completely different from person to person. Your session can be as covered, revealing, soft, bold, simple, or playful as you want it to be.
Do you offer maternity boudoir sessions?
Yes! Boudoir-inspired maternity sessions are one of my favorite ways to celebrate pregnancy. They can be simple, intimate, feminine, and incredibly meaningful. My natural-light studio works beautifully for creating timeless maternity portraits without elaborate sets or props.
Where do boudoir sessions take place?
Most boudoir sessions take place in my private natural-light studio in Black Mountain, just outside Asheville. The space allows us to create clean, intimate photographs while keeping the attention on you rather than elaborate backgrounds.
Will you help me plan my session?
Definitely. We can talk through wardrobe, the overall feel you want, what you love about your body, anything you might feel self-conscious about, and the kinds of images you are hoping to create. You do not have to arrive knowing exactly what you want
