Mini sessions are the perfect way to get a few photos for a Christmas card or a snapshot of life during a particular season. I offer mini sessions on specific days during the Spring, Fall, and for Christmas. I also offer Headshot and Branding Minis on specific dates throughout the year.
The best way to guarantee a mini session slot is to sign up for my email list. Clients on my email list always get first dibs of the best slots, and occasionally book out the entire event before I even open to the public. You can sign up for my email list on the homepage or by contacting me.

What is a mini photography session?
A mini session is a shorter photography session offered on select dates throughout the year. They are designed to give families a handful of beautiful, updated photographs without committing to a full-length session.
What is included with a mini session?
The exact length, number of included digital images, location, and price can vary depending on the mini session event. Each booking announcement will include all of the details so you know exactly what is included before reserving your spot.
Do you offer mini sessions year-round?
Mini sessions are offered on select dates rather than every week. Throughout the year, I may offer seasonal events such as Valentine's, Mother's Day, summer, fall, and Christmas mini sessions. Because dates and time slots are limited, joining my email list is one of the best ways to hear about them first.
Are mini sessions good for young children?
They can be! Many kids do really well with a short session because we keep things moving and playful. That said, every child is different. If your little one needs lots of warming-up time, has difficulty transitioning to new environments, or you want a large variety of photographs, a full family session may be a better fit.
What is the difference between a mini session and a full family session?
Mini sessions are shorter and typically take place at a predetermined location on a specific date. A full session gives us more time, flexibility, variety, and room for kids to settle in. Full sessions are generally the better option if you want a more storytelling-focused gallery or have specific photographs you want to create.
Can extended families book a mini session?
Mini sessions are designed for individual immediate families. Larger or multigenerational groups usually benefit from an Extended Family Session so we have enough time to capture everyone and all the important family combinations.
Can I choose my images after the session?
Depending on the specific mini session, your collection may include a set number of digital images chosen from your proofs, with the option to purchase additional photographs or upgrade to the full gallery. The exact options will always be explained when you book.
What happens if it rains during an outdoor mini session?
Because mini sessions involve several families scheduled back-to-back, weather decisions are handled a little differently than individual sessions. If the weather is not suitable for an outdoor event, I’ll communicate any rain-date or rescheduling information with everyone who is booked.
